Capcom has said fans of the widely-popular Monster Hunter series can expect new entries to appear on both Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita.
Speaking with Gaming site MEGamers , Capcom Europe’s COO David Reeves hinted at new Monster Hunter titles appearing on both handhelds somewhere down the line.
“I think down the road, you could probably see a Monster Hunter iteration somewhere. Probably on both [Nintendo 3DS & PlayStation Vita].”
This comes as no surprise for PlayStation Vita as the series made its mark on Sony’s Playstation Portable as the system’s best-selling title in Japan.
Nintendo handhelds however have never seen the release of a Monster Hunter title. Capcom introduce Monster Hunter Tri onto the Wii in 2009 to a slightly underwhelming response in comparison to its handheld counterparts.
Capcom is expected to announce Monster Hunter Freedom 3 for PSP in Europe soon.
